"Django" -Slavery: Does White America need to feel guilty about something that happened a very long time ago?

This film doesn't bring up guilt. It's too absurd. On the other hand it does get people's attention by pushing the "N" button that brings up the latent racism in all of us. That's the reason we don't use the "N" (nigger) word. We make believe that not saying it means we don't think it which is nothing more than denial. Just like the flag draped coffins coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan that we were forbidden to see, and then only referred to as "our national treasure."  This society needs a big heavy dose of reality other than another absurdity; "reality TV" to shake us into realizing how self destructive a people we have become.
