In the U.S.A., however, your not even "average."
The median household income in the United
States, as per the conducted surveys is around $46,000 per year. Now, talking
more about the household income, only 17% of the total population
actually makes in excess of $110,000 per year.

gotten worse, not better, with time
In 1980, the world's poorest
10 percent lived on the equivalent of 72 cents a day or less. Accounting for
inflation, by 1999 they were trying to live on only 58 cents a day. Between
1980 and 1999, the median income in the richest 10% of countries grew from 77
times that of the poorest 10% to a gap of 122 times.
